As in previous years Winchester Growers have been proud to donate bunches of daffodils to the Falmouth Spring Festival and this year was no different! This year saw celebrity endorsement with comedienne Dawn French and gardener Carol Klein helping promote the event.
As part of the towns Spring Festival, the ‘Paint the Town Yellow Day’ sees local school children and students from the University of Falmouth distribute daffodils to local businesses, who in turn then give the locally grown, vibrant blooms to their customers in return for a small donation.
The Spring Festival was an event organised by The Falmouth Business Improvement District (BID) – a not-for-profit company responsible for delivering a number of innovative projects that aim to improve the trading environment of the town. The Falmouth BID is made up of over 400 local companies.
