On the 1st April this year volunteers from our area set up a voluntary service, out of hours, to provide a courier service to our National Health Service (NHS) whereby bikes will be used to deliver blood, blood products, medical equipment, drugs, x-rays etc. (covering weekends and Bank holidays) to other hospitals and medical institutions in Lincolnshire.
By providing this voluntary service it will make approx. a £2.5m / year saving to our local NHS!
Attached is a photo of Paul Ward (UNIVEG Technical Manager) and Jonathan Smith (UNIVEG Account Manager) who are participants in this.
