New online tools in the Virtual Market Place helps visitors better prepare
The world’s leading exhibition for the fresh produce trade takes place from 4 to 6 February in Berlin. “This three-day industry event sets the course for success for the entire business year”, says FRUIT LOGISTICA Global Brand Manager Gérald Lamusse. “This makes it all the more important to be well-prepared and ensure that the time spent at the trade fair is used as effectively as possible”.
Optimal support for trade fair preparation is provided by the Virtual Market Place, an online FRUIT LOGISTICA database. This industry platform offers much more than a list of exhibitors with company, product, service, and hall/stand information. “New features include a networking tool that enables users to set up a profile with photos, special interests and contact information”, explains Virtual Market Place Marketing Director Sabine Burger. “With just a few clicks, participants can initiate business contacts, arrange appointments and organise a personal exhibition planner. We encourage all visitors and exhibitors to register as networkers and join the FRUIT LOGISTICA family”.
The new website design is optimised for tablet computers and smartphone displays. Dynamic hall floor plans can be downloaded to mobile devices and used offline at the trade fair. A variety of selection criteria based on segments, products, services or countries enable targeted searches. The new “Spotlight” search criterion quickly pinpoints a selection of the latest innovations and novelties presented at the fair. Users can also subscribe to a newsletter that offers options for individually defined content.
Information in the Virtual Market Place is available in German, English and – new in 2015 – Spanish.
